Tavi Fulkerson

President and Owner
Founded The Fulkerson Group in 1983

Tavi Fulkerson, the founder of The Fulkerson Group, is well recognized as a sponsorship sales expert with an extensive marketing and public relations background. Prior to moving to the Detroit area in 1991, Fulkerson owned a public relations firm for 10 years in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In the 1970s, Fulkerson hosted both a radio and television interview talk show and wrote a weekly newspaper column for the Ann Arbor News. Fulkerson is a communications graduate (B.A.) from the University of Michigan (1974). In 2008, Crain’s Detroit Business named Fulkerson a Power Seller of The Year. The publication recognized the top eight salespeople in the Detroit metropolitan area. Fulkerson was the only woman honored.

Kathleen Borschke

Kathleen Borschke is an accomplished sponsorship sales and fulfillment professional, a proud University of Michigan Alum and a Troy, Michigan native. Having worked nearly 15 years supporting and directing sponsorship efforts for companies such as IMG, the Detroit Red Wings, Phoenix Coyotes and the Minnesota Wild, Borschke returned home to Detroit in 2010. Borschke plays a key role in directing several Fulkerson Group programs with a primary focus in overseeing the relationship and sales efforts for the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear.

In addition, Borschke currently serves on the board of the Networking Business League for the Detroit Pistons and Leaders for Kids benefitting the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation. She is the former Co-Chair of the American Heart Association’s young professional’s board where she served for 2 years. Borschke is honored to be part of the 2014 Class of 30 in their 30s for Detroit’s Premier Business Journal, DBusiness as well as a member of the 2016 Oakland County Executive’s Elite 40 Under 40. Sarah Swanson

Sarah Swanson is a seasoned sponsorship sales professional working for more than 17 years in the industry. With extensive experience in customized sponsorship package development, activation campaigns and grant writing, Swanson’s favorite part of her job is creating marketing solutions for companies through event sponsorship. Swanson is excited about the revitalization of Detroit and believes that the events TFG represents help to highlight all of the positive aspects of the City. A proud mother of two sporty and spirited boys, Swanson spends most of her free time at athletic events.

Cyndy Doherty

Cyndy Doherty came to The Fulkerson Group with broad leadership experience as a fund-raiser in community-based philanthropic events. She now specializes in sponsorship sales and fulfillment for TFG managing accounts representing two of the region’s most prominent health systems: Henry Ford Health System and the University of Michigan Health Systems’ A. Alfred Taubman Medical Research Institute. She not only loves the “people-oriented” sales component of her work, but is very proud that the events she represents benefit scientific research leading to potential cures for some of the most devastating medical issues facing our society. Doherty holds a Masters’ Degree in Psychology from the University of Detroit and when not attending the exciting major civic events represented by her colleagues at The Fulkerson Group, she enjoys international travel and dabbling in gourmet cooking with a focus on entertaining her friends and family.

Alex Doherty

Sponsorship Sales & Fulfillment Manager

Alex Doherty joined The Fulkerson Group in 2013 after several years in Chicago where she studied at DePaul University and worked as a Senior Account Executive at Groupon. Doherty’s extensive sales experience and project management skills provided the foundation for her role as Sponsorship Sales Manager with The Fulkerson Group. Current responsibilities involve driving sponsorship sales and managing partner fulfillment for The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). Alex is proud to be living and working in the “D” and being involved with the city’s revitalization, while representing these significant international and local business events.

Dominic Casinelli

Sponsorship Sales & Fulfillment Coordinator

Dominic Casinelli is a proud Madonna University Alum with a Bachelors of Science in Hospitality Management. His background is in event management and guest service having worked for Michigan chain, Andiamo and Walt Disney World. Casinelli’s sponsorship career started with an internship for the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix in sponsorship sales and fulfillment. He has since moved on to assist with two accounts for The Fulkerson Group; Detroit Jazz Festival and The Parade Company. In addition, Casinelli is an avid Ultimate Frisbee player and the Founder and Leader of the Grosse Pointe Ultimate group. Having participated in multiple tournaments, he dreams to one day bring an Ultimate tournament to Detroit.

Lauren Arnold

Office Manager

Lauren Arnold came to The Fulkerson Group in October of 2007 after working for 21 years in the heating and cooling business. With her vast knowledge of how an office should be run Arnold was given the role of Office Manager with The Fulkerson Group. Arnold’s main client is the North American International Auto Show where she oversees all of the credentialing and ticketing for the sponsors. Arnold enjoys visiting different cities across Michigan and finding that special niche that each one has to offer. Arnold has an uncanny recall for numbers, which comes in very handy with running an office.
